Triangular Pencils for Toddlers

September 12, 2012

Just back from a meeting in my daughter’s new school and i learned that toddlers should use triangular pencils/crayons etc. Apparantly these force the user to hold the pencil correctly, which round pencils don’t. If you already have round pencils, etc you can get triangular sleeves in stationary shops.

It seems that it can be tricky for kids to unlearn the wrong way to hold a pencil and so it’s best to start out on the right foot.

Bookstation stores sell 6 triangular colouring pencils for €2
